About the Journal

The Nyayadeep Shiksha Law Journal is a Biannual scholarly edited, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality and original research in the field of law. We aim to provide a platform for students, academics, practitioners, and researchers to engage in contemporary legal discourse and contribute to the development of legal scholarship.

Emerging Frontiers in Law and Justice: Vol. I, Issue I

For our inaugural issue, we welcome submissions on a broad spectrum of legal topics. We are particularly interested in pieces that explore “Emerging Frontiers in Law and Justice.” This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Technology Law (AI, Data Privacy, Cyber Law)
  • Constitutional Law and Fundamental Rights
  • Environmental Law and Climate Justice
  • International Law and Human Rights
  • Commercial and Corporate Law
  • Intellectual Property Rights
  • Criminal Law and Jurisprudence
  • Access to Justice and Legal Education

Submission Guidelines

Categories of Submissions

  1. Long Articles: 4,000 – 6,000 words (including footnotes)
    • Must contain a comprehensive analysis of a core legal issue, with a structured abstract, introduction, hypothesis, and conclusion.
  2. Short Articles / Essays: 2,000 – 4,000 words (including footnotes)
    • Must present a well-reasoned argument or a critical perspective on a contemporary legal problem.
  3. Case Comments / Legislative Notes: 1,500 – 2,500 words (including footnotes)
    • Must analyse a recent landmark judgment or new legislation, critiquing its implications and potential future impact.

Note:

  1. The word limit is exclusive of the Abstract and Keywords. A deviation of 10% is permissible.
  2. The manuscript shall go through strict plagiarism check.

Submission Procedure

  • All submissions must be made electronically in .doc or .docx format via email to: publicationsnyayadeep@gmail.com
  • The subject of the email must be: “Submission for Vol I Issue I 2025- Emerging Frontiers of Law and Justice
  • Authors must attach the following two separate documents:
    1. Manuscript Document:Containing the full paper without any identifying details (name, institution, etc.).
    2. Cover Letter:Containing the title of the paper, category, author’s full name, affiliation, contact details, and a brief bio-note (not more than 100 words). A declaration of originality must be included in the cover letter (See ‘Formatting Requirements’ below).

Formatting Requirements

  • Font:Times New Roman, Size 12
  • Line Spacing:5 for main text, 1.0 for footnotes
  • Footnote Font:Garamond, Size 10
  • Citation Style:All citations must conform to the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) (4th ed. 2012). Authors are responsible for ensuring their manuscript complies with this style before submission. Guidance is available on the Oxford Law Faculty website.”
  • Abstract:All submissions must include an abstract of not more than 250 words.
  • Keywords:4-6 keywords must be provided.
  • Cover Letter:Must include the following declaration:

“I/We hereby declare that the work submitted is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. I/We have disclosed all potential conflicts of interest. I/We have complied with all ethical standards of academic publishing.”

Important Dates (For the First Issue)

  • Last Date for Submissions: October 31, 2025
  • Communication of Review Decision: November 30, 2025
  • Tentative Publication: December 31, 2025

 

Editorial Process

All submissions will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. The initial screening will be conducted by the Editorial Board for plagiarism and scope. Shortlisted manuscripts will then be sent to external reviewers. The final decision rests with the Editorial Board.
