About the Journal

The Nyayadeep Shiksha Law Journal (ISSN: 3139-6348 Online) is a scholarly edited, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing original legal research. The journal provides a platform for students, academicians, practitioners and researchers to contribute to contemporary legal discourse and the advancement of legal scholarship.

Categories of Submissions

1. Long Articles

Word Limit: 4,000–6,000 words (including footnotes)

  • Comprehensive analysis of a core legal issue.
  • Must contain a structured abstract, introduction, hypothesis and conclusion.

2. Short Articles / Essays

Word Limit: 2,000–4,000 words (including footnotes)

  • Should present a well-reasoned argument or critical perspective on a contemporary legal issue.

3. Case Comments / Legislative Notes

Word Limit: 1,500–2,500 words (including footnotes)

  • Must critically analyse a recent landmark judgment or legislation and evaluate its future implications.

Important Notes

  • The prescribed word limit excludes the Abstract and Keywords.
  • A deviation of up to 10% from the prescribed word limit is permissible.
  • Every manuscript will undergo a strict plagiarism check before review.

Submission Procedure

  1. Submit manuscripts only in .doc or .docx format.
  2. Email submissions to publicationsnyayadeep@gmail.com.
  3. Use the prescribed subject line mentioned in the current Call for Papers.
  4. Attach two separate documents:
    • Manuscript without any identifying details.
    • Cover Letter containing title, category, author details, affiliation, contact information, bio-note (maximum 100 words) and declaration of originality.

Editorial Process

All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. The Editorial Board first conducts a preliminary review to assess plagiarism and suitability for the journal. Shortlisted manuscripts are then evaluated by independent external reviewers. The final publication decision rests with the Editorial Board.
